2011 BlownEuroz

Took a trip out to Langhorne , Pa with Owen and Brizzy for BlownEuroz. It was a great way to kick off the season. Good people, dope cars, and a good time. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Philly FDR Drift

RALLYDRIFT: FDR in the Winter from Drift Alliance on Vimeo.

Andy at Drift Alliance made this video of him drifting FDR park. He even goes into the skatepark under the bridge and fools around there. According to the KeepDriftingFun guys, the S13 he’s driving is stock on an open diff… even more impressive.

A year in reflection

As 2011 approaches quickly, I find myself reflecting on this past year. A lot has changed in the ShiftedFrame family, and a lot will continue to change. I know I have been absent from this blog roll, but that is because I have been focusing on illantic’s new apparel and tumblr page. As next year rounds the corner, illantic will be more involved here. I promise to bring more car shows, events, revealed cars, and info to this blog as the year progresses. I will also have more interviews with rising stars in the scene. It should be a very interesting and fun-filled year for the illantic gearheads.

I know I should probably do a recap but that’s boring. Soooooo

Where there’s smoke, there are tires. We plan on burnin up the net with the stuff we have planned.
Welcome 2011!

Jay Z, Buffett and Forbes on Success and Giving Back

Yeah, I know this is a blog about cars, but after a long conversation with one of our partners yesterday about drive and determination it got me thinking about this video. Warren Buffett and Jay-Z give some really interesting insight here on their success and how to make it in this world. Enjoy.

Check out illantic.com for more stuff!

They are finally here!

Get one of the first shirts. There are only 35 of them so you know you won’t have to deal with anyone having the same shirt as you.

SF Coverage – FD Wall 2010

I had a great time this weekend with Matt Waldin and the Mishimoto/Import Intelligence crew at Wall Stadium for Formula Drift.

It was hot, sweaty, messy, loud, and absolutely insane – but unlike last year we managed to avoid the projected thunderstorms all weekend which meant the smoke show was on.

Along with many of the DA boys, Wall is Matt’s home track on the FD circuit. He threw down some solid runs which lead him to qualify 18th in the field – his personal best in Formula Drift.

Thanks for repping illantic, Matt!

Unfortnuately, Gushi knocked him out of the top 32, but not without a fight.

Here are some more snaps from the weekend:

Loved this shot

RT and ACP

Nice to see ACP in something other than a NOS Evo for once :)

JR throwing it down

Tanner did much better than last year.

Drift Emporium… crazy dudes

Can you tell I’m obsessed with fire?

Clipping point got mangled this round, lots of drivers had trouble with the switchback

Russell Walker came out as a privateer all the way from Texas and qualified just out of the top 32. Tough break this weekend but he’s a cool guy and a good sportsman. I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of him.

Mad Mike lives up to his name

Total accident shot of a burnout, but I really love the way it looked when I got it to my computer. I might actually make a print of it.

Formula Drift, Wall NJ

Drift GT-R… does it really need any more of a caption?

Hope you all enjoyed the photos. Before I wrap this up I just want to put out a HUGE thank you to Matt for all of the hospitality this weekend, Fred from Rockstar Energy for the swag and for keeping us hydrated, Ed from Tuner Icons for the baller trailer, the Formula Drift staff for taking care of us in the Media tent, and all the other media people I met this weekend for spreading the drift love and expanding our social networks – haha.

Next weekend I hit Montreal for the F1GP – stay tuned.

Shiftedframe and Illantic

If you’ve cruised this blog, you know that Shiftedframe is the media aspect of the East Coast Automotive community. Little has been shown or discussed about Illantic and what it is. Well Illantic is the lifestyle portion of Shiftedframe. It is a state of mind, being and action. With the partnership between these two companies, we will encompass all aspects of the sports. From behind the scenes to race day. Now with that said, Illantic is rolling out their first run of T-shirts. There will ONLY be 35 of these shirts produced, and to make them extra special, we can have shirts signed and numbered by Matt Waldin, Owner of Import Intelligence, DMCC champion and professional FD and D1 drifter. With such a limited run of shirts being made, you a guaranteed to not to see anyone else rocking our stuff. Nothing like being truly unique and exclusive.

So if you’re interested drop us a line at IllanticMedia@gmail.com or look us up on facebook (illantic).
