It seems that in the euro scene air ride is taking over.
these three clean VAG cars from the UK are just….. amazing.
MKIV jetta, 8P A3 and a B5 RS4.
I need this RS4 in my life
Took a trip out to Langhorne , Pa with Owen and Brizzy for BlownEuroz. It was a great way to kick off the season. Good people, dope cars, and a good time. Definitely recommend checking it out.
What’s up ShiftedCrew? I’m back after a short hiatus. Summer 2010 was absolutely insane, and as the season is coming to an end I just want to thank our followers for keeping up with the site and maintaining your interest in Shifted and illantic while we have been quiet. We are going through all the e-mails and facebook messages and working hard to deliver some really good things in the near future – but I wanted to post some new photos and do a little blogging (or is it “logging” with a soft ‘b’?) in the meantime.
I was talking to friend of mine who does a lot of branding and web design a while ago about the frustrations of his work. He kept saying “design is not a democracy,” in response to feedback he had been receiving from clients who seemed to prefer fundamentally poor logos and site layouts.
It got me thinking about my own “work,” in photography and graphic design in relation to the basic principal my friend had been preaching… Art is not a democracy. But that raised another question.. is this even art? My friends and facebook fans seem to think so, but I know others would argue the contrary.
The more I thought about it, the more I came to the conclusion that it was only art because I believed it was art. I visualized it, I captured it the way I saw it, and I put my eyes, my mood, and my passion into it. Since then, I started taking a lot more liberties with the way I take my shots and post-process them.
I’ve never been happier with my work, and I have never cared less if anyone liked it or not. Funny that since I grabbed my camera by the balls and started to shoot the way I wanted, my stuff has been more well-received than ever before.
Is it art? Decide for yourself… but here are some more pictures to help you make up your mind.
Big things on the way soon, check back for an update from illantic as well.
So, looking through my old photos on flickr I came across some photos I took last year at H2Oi.
For those of you who don’t know about H2Oi, it is a huge VW/Audi car show based in Ocean City MD at the end of September. Cars from all over the country make the drive down to Maryland specifically for a weekend of Volkswagen fun and hijinks. I highly suggest anyone who is interested in cars to make it down to this car show at least once in their lives.
The weekend of the show is amazing, the show is good too, but the weekend surrounding it is just amazing.
Cruising down to Ocean City Maryland is always a good time when you cruise down with some good friends, especially when one of them has one of the sexiest sounding cars of all time, a VW R32.
Once there you will be bombarded with the sounds of VRT’s ripping up and down ocean highway and MK1 through 5 VWs scraping around.
Above is another local and clean MKIV .:R. The magnet on the side of the door is from a huge cruise called the Dagball that runs from Christiana mall in DE down to OCMD
This black Audi S4 made the drive down from Chicago. It sports a fair amount of custom widebody work done to it in order to fit the wide reworked BBS RS’s
Everything is low……… from MKIIIs
To VW Vans
and one of the most controversial vehicles at this show…………………. a cambered out MKI rabbit
The car was later impounded and demolished from what I understand
and of course a B5 meet is a must.
Thats all for now, Maybe I’ll post up with some coverage from the actual show
Finally Audi has stepped up and will be unveiling the new RS 5 in Geneva.
It will feature a 4.2L V8 pushing out 331 kW (450 hp) and 430 Nm (317.15 lb-ft) of torque that will run through a newly designed center diff. for the already prestigious quattro system
