Subaru weekend at OCMD
From June 4th until June 6th Ocean City Maryland was overrun with Subaru’s and various other AWD machines
Shifted Frame/Illantic was down there to do some coverage of the weekend and here are some photos from that boxer engine themed weekend
We have to start off with the obligatory rolling shots down to the show
These two clean and low hawkeye STi’s are easily two of my favorite Subaru’s at the moment. You may remember seeing the UGM STi from a previous posting on this site during the winter.
Next we stopped at a small gathering

then some big boy toys came up to the meet and show off their large snails.
There were a few Supra’s running around that weekend, unfortunately this is the only one that I got some shots of. From what I understand this large single hoodless supra was putting down around 550whp, not too shabby

and then sometime throughout the weekend an .:R32 decided that it’s fuel pump sucked
Overall, not too bad of a weekend. Saw plenty of nice cars, some built for performance, some for show, a lot of cookie cutters, but who doesn’t love the sound of that boxer rumble.

Silverstone Circuit
With the Formula 1 season underway I couldn’t help but reminisce about my trip to Silverstone Circuit over my spring break trip last year.
While there I was lucky enough to take a tour during a test day for the Kingfish F1 auto. Normally the public isn’t allowed to tour the facilities while there is testing going on, but my uncle who I went with talked his way in for us.
While touring the facility you see loads and loads of small engine F1 stylized carts, Ferrari 360s and Lotus elise and exiges around. These are the cars that are available to the public to rent and run around the track.
The tour was definitely amazing and I would love to go back and run around the track in a rental ha.
